You will need to supply your referral letter from a specialist or a mental health treatment plan and referral from a GP for Group Therapy, item no 80120. Participants without referrals are welcome to participate, however, they will be not be entitled to a Medicare Rebate.

You must supply your referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan prior to the commencement of the psychology sessions in order to receive the Medicare rebate.

For those who have an eligible referral, a receipt per session attended will be emailed following attendance at a session. These receipts can be used to claim a Medicare rebate of approximately $23.80 per session attended with the sessions run by the Psychologists only (no rebate for the GP or Dietitian sessions). Please note that Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for sessions which Members do not attend and it is a Medicare requirement that a minimum of 4 participants attend in order for any participants to get the rebate.
