Getting Started

If you would like to access May Psychology please contact our friendly administration support staff by visiting the contact page on this website. Appointments with our clinicians will last 50 minutes and the number of sessions required will be discussed at your initial appointment. It might be that you attend for one or two sessions to discuss a particular matter, or engage in a more ongoing manner for deeper self-exploration and personal growth. This will be dependent upon your particular circumstances, mental health experience, and needs.

There are a number of pathways to May Psychology. These include referral from your General Practitioner or another medical specialist, private recommendation, or self-referral. Please note that you may be eligible to receive a rebate for the services you access at May Psychology. The most common are from Medicare, private health insurance, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), among others. Please contact us (or your insurer) for further information.

If you are taking your first steps towards formally seeking assistance for your mental health and well-being, May Medical is the ideal place to start. Our specialist General Practitioners have a special interest, and are accredited, in mental health, and will take the time needed to evaluate your needs, formulate a plan and provide recommendations.
