Clinical Psychology

Clinicians working within the May Psychology service area provide evidence-based assessment and intervention for a broad range of mental health presentations. These may include anxiety, depression, stress-related concerns, relationship difficulties, trauma, personality-related challenges, obsessive–compulsive symptoms, eating disorders, and psychosis.

Your clinician will work with you to develop a shared understanding of your experiences, clarify your goals, and determine an approach that is suited to your needs. Treatment may focus on symptom management, building insight, developing skills, or supporting longer-term psychological growth.

Clinicians in this service area draw on a range of established therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Interventions are selected and adapted according to each patient’s presentation, preferences, and aims.
