Marta is an experienced psychologist who offers assistance to adults for a range of issues including anxiety and depression, as well as relationship and family problems. She also specialises in hypnosis which is readily incorporated into the therapeutic process and which is very helpful for many issues. One key aspect of Marta’s approach is helping people become aware of their strengths, and then finding effective ways of using these strengths to make changes. Helping people build resources and new skill sets is also part of her approach. Her experience with adolescents includes helping with anxiety, sleep problems, and developing resilience and confidence.
Marta also assists with trauma, offering EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) as an effective approach to resolve traumatic experiences. She has considerable experience in the area of emotional, physical and sexual childhood abuse. For many years Marta was the Chairperson of the Management Committee of a women’s domestic violence service, so she also has expertise in assisting with issues related to domestic violence and abuse.
Marta is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). Her clients are eligible for Medicare and Private Health rebates.
