The ADHD Couples Series

About the Program

Relationships are already a dance of connection, communication, and compromise — and when ADHD is part of the picture, the steps can sometimes feel even more complex. The ADHD Couples Series is designed to support couples in understanding how ADHD shows up in their relationship and to build tools that strengthen connection, compassion, and emotional safety.

This program is facilitated by counsellor Greer Alexandra. Greer is a qualified counsellor, sexual health educator, and experienced trainer and assessor in the mental health field. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and client-centred care, she is dedicated to supporting individuals in navigating the complexities of ADHD, relationships, and personal growth. Greer brings warmth, understanding, and practical strategies that come not only from her clinical training but also from walking this path herself.

Sessions are held on Friday evenings, creating the perfect opportunity to treat the series like a date night with purpose — something structured yet engaging, supportive yet enjoyable. It’s a chance to step away from the demands of the week, invest in your relationship, and leave each session with both insight and practical tools you can use right away.

Over four weeks, you and your partner will be guided through interactive workshops that blend education, reflection, and real-world strategies. Together, you’ll explore how ADHD traits influence your daily lives, how to regulate emotions, communicate needs, repair conflict, and nurture both intimacy and emotional safety in your relationship.

The ADHD Couples Series has been developed with senior consultation from Dr Emilie Staehr, Specialist Mental Health GP, and Aaron Neaves, Clinical Psychologist and Director of May Health. Their combined clinical insight and leadership have helped shape the program to ensure it reflects the highest standard of care.

This series isn’t about “fixing” either partner — it’s about fostering awareness, learning new ways to support one another, and deepening your bond. Whether ADHD is newly diagnosed or has been part of your relationship for years, this series offers a safe and supportive space to learn, practise, and grow together.

What you can expect:

  • Practical tools and strategies to manage ADHD-related challenges in relationships
  • Guided reflections and activities to help you and your partner understand patterns and roles
  • Communication and repair skills that make conflict less overwhelming and more constructive
  • Exploration of intimacy and sexual connection, with a focus on emotional safety
  • A supportive group environment where couples can feel seen, normalised, and encouraged

By the end of the series, you’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of how ADHD affects your relationship, a toolkit of strategies for navigating challenges, and a renewed sense of connection with your partner.

Program Overview

The ADHD Couples Series is designed to support couples in navigating the unique dynamics of ADHD in relationships. Over four weeks, you and your partner will be guided through a process of building awareness, understanding, and practical skills to strengthen connection and emotional safety.

Each session blends professional education, therapeutic tools, and lived experience. Together, couples explore topics such as ADHD traits and relationship roles, emotional regulation, communication and conflict repair, and building intimacy with safety and care. The format encourages both learning and reflection, giving couples the chance to practise new strategies in session and apply them in their daily lives.

All couples receive curated handouts and reflection worksheets designed to spark meaningful conversations, encourage practice between sessions, and support lasting change.

Pricing Information

The total cost for the series is $660 per couple, payable in full at the time of booking. This includes all four sessions and access to workshop materials and resources.

Please note:

As this is a small-group program with limited spaces, no refunds will be issued once booking is confirmed. Make-up sessions are not available, so we ask that you plan carefully and ensure both partners can commit to all four dates.

Booking Information

We’d love to welcome you to the program.

To be eligible, both partners must be 18 years or older, and at least one partner must have a formal ADHD diagnosis. No referral is required, but we do request documentation confirming the diagnosis before the program begins.

This series is suited to couples who are generally functioning well and want to learn more about how ADHD shows up in their relationship, build insight, improve communication, and strengthen their connection. It’s not recommended for couples experiencing high conflict, significant distress, or safety concerns. In those cases, individual relationship counselling — available at May Health — may be more appropriate.

Places are strictly limited, with a maximum of three couples per group. To register your interest, please complete the enquiry form on our website and specify your preferred program date. Our team will be in touch to confirm availability and next steps. You are also welcome to contact us directly with any questions.
