Individual ADHD Support Homepage Medical ADHD Clinical Services Individual ADHD Support GPs working within the May Medical service area at May Health provide one-on-one ADHD-related care. These practitioners have completed further professional development in psychological medicine and are trained in Focused Psychological Strategies, enabling them to deliver medical support and therapeutic approaches within their professional scope. Appointments focus on helping patients understand and manage the areas most affected by ADHD. Sessions may address attention, organisation, time management, emotional regulation, stress, and the development of routines and practical strategies that align with individual goals. Care is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each patient’s circumstances. Extended consultation times are available to support thorough assessment and review. Initial appointments are 60 minutes, with ongoing sessions of 30 minutes. Consultations can take place in person at our North Adelaide clinic or via secure video, with frequency determined according to clinical need. Where appropriate and within scope, GPs may initiate and manage ADHD medication and incorporate focused, talk-based interventions into treatment. Their role is to support the ADHD-specific aspects of care; patients should continue to see their usual GP for general medical needs. Patients may also access ADHD-related services offered elsewhere within May Health, such as the Adult ADHD Group Treatment Program, counselling supports, and education-based offerings. These services operate independently but may complement individual GP care where suitable. Contact Now!
