Depending on the profession and purpose of supervision, this may include Board-approved registrar supervision, professional or peer supervision, and supervision focused on particular areas of clinical practice.Supervision is tailored to the clinician’s professional context, stage of development, learning needs and the requirements of any relevant professional or regulatory framework. The forms of supervision currently available through May Health are outlined below. Psychology Supervision May Health provides supervision for psychologists at different stages of their professional development, including Board-approved supervision and professional or peer supervision.Board-approved supervision is available for psychologists undertaking registrar programs toward area of practice endorsement. Supervision is provided by appropriately Board-approved May Health psychologists and is arranged in accordance with the requirements of the relevant registrar program.Professional and peer supervision is also available for registered psychologists seeking ongoing clinical development, reflective practice, or supervision in particular areas of clinical interest. The focus and approach to supervision will vary according to the supervisor’s areas of expertise and the supervisee’s professional needs.Supervision may be available in person or via telehealth, depending on the supervisor. This may include consideration of ADHD, psychopharmacology, multidisciplinary care and the interface between medical and psychological approaches to treatment.The focus of supervision is tailored to the GP’s professional interests, clinical context and learning needs. Meet Emilie Supervision for Other Mental Health Professionals May Health also provides professional supervision for other mental health professionals, including counsellors, social workers and other clinicians where appropriate.Supervision may focus on clinical work, reflective practice, professional development and the relational aspects of working with patients and clients. The approach is tailored to the clinician’s professional role, experience, areas of practice and learning needs.Supervision is arranged with an appropriate May Health supervisor according to the clinician’s profession, supervision needs and the supervisor’s areas of expertise. Where a profession has specific supervision requirements, clinicians should ensure that the proposed supervision meets the requirements of their relevant professional or regulatory body. INSIGHT Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Registrar Program May Health is pleased to support the INSIGHT Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Registrar Program, an independent two-year training program for Clinical Psychology Registrars interested in developing their practice within a relational psychodynamic framework.The program combines structured psychodynamic psychotherapy training with supervision and professional development as part of the pathway toward Clinical Psychology endorsement.Aaron Neaves is a member of the INSIGHT faculty and provides Board-approved supervision in Adelaide for INSIGHT registrars who wish to undertake their supervision locally.Enquiries about the INSIGHT program, including enrolment, program structure and fees, should be directed to INSIGHT.
